Comfort Food and Old Fashioned Treats
Laura Kalb and Jeannie Malott are the proud owners of the Vintage Cafe, we are Mother and Daughter who are Havre de Grace natives. The cafe opened in September of 2015 and we've already expanded our retail to the Holiday Shoppe upstairs. Our customers liked our small retail section so much we decided it's time to move on upstairs!!
We've enjoyed our (almost) 2 years in business and appreciate our regulars and all our customers very much! Thank you for being the best customers in the entire world!!
A breakfast & lunch cafe with an Old Fashioned Soda Fountain. Our recipes have been passed down from Laura's Mother (Jeannie's grandmother). Here you will find options ranging from homemade biscuits and gravy and omelettes to grilled cheese and even healthy options like fresh fruit and light lunch choices. Our soda fountain boasts old fashioned recipes like chocolate soda and custom concoctions like a strawberries and cream float. We also offer soy ice cream and milkshakes for those who avoid milk products ir extra sugar.
We're expanding our retail section to include Holiday decor for every Holiday and Always Christmas. Check out the Holiday Shoppe page for more information.
We opened our doors on September 3, 2015. Our hours vary for the busy season. Holiday Shoppe is open on the weekends.
114 North Washington Street in Historic Havre de Grace, Maryland. Just look for the orange and grey building.
It's been a dream of ours to open a daytime cafe for years now. We've been planning and researching (yes, by eating out and visiting the last few soda fountains left in Maryland). We guess a better question would be- why not? The community has been asking for breakfast in Havre de Grace since Vancherries left many years ago. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Christmas is our favorite time of the year, it seemed natural to combine them..........
